GIA report numbered 2294598332, 25 June 2018, stating that the sapphire is 49.06 carats, natural, blue colour, Burmese origin, no indication of heating; along with a letter stating that ' this sapphire exhibits a highly saturated blue colouration, sometimes described as Royal Blue in the trade...The combination of Burmese origin, lack of heat treatment, saturated blue colour and large size makes this a notable sapphire.'
Lotus report numbered 9830-8137, dated 18 June 2018, stating the sapphire is 49.06 carats, natural, blue colour with intense saturation and medium-deep tone, Burmese origin, no indication of enhancement; along with a colour type comment stating that 'the lively blue colour of this gem earns it the Lotus 'Cornflower Blue' distinction';
