With five seals of Emperor Qianlong
Vairocana, the Buddha of Light, is the supreme manifestation of the
Buddha principle. He is often interpreted as the Dharma Body of the
historical Buddha Shakyamuni. In Vajrayana Buddhism, the Five Dhyani
Buddhas, also known as the Five Wisdom Buddhas and the Five Jinas
(Sanskrit for conqueror or victor), with Vairocana as the center figure,
are representations of the five qualities of the Buddha.
