A CARVED LONGQUAN CELADON FLORAL BOWL

29 cm.(11 3/8 in.)diam.

The style of decoration on the present bowl relates very closely to blue and white examples produced for the Imperial court dating to the same period. The close association with the decorative motifs found on the examples produced at Jingdezhen and in the Lonquan kilns suggest that many of the Longquan celadon examples were also made for the Imperial court.
