The Dehua artist Chen Wei is mentioned by Robert Blumenfield in Blanc de Chine,The Great Porcelain of Dehua,Berkeley,2002,pp. 139-40 where he discusses a figure with the inscription and seal of Chen Wei in the British Museum Collection,donated by Sir Augustus Wollaston Franks,acquisition no. Franks.76.+. Another standing figure bearing Chen Wei’s seal was sold at Christie’s New York,15-16 March 2015,lot 3143.
