A related facetted cup,dated to the Tang dynasty,is illustrated in Delicacy and Glamour – Ancient Chinese Glasswork,National Museum of History,Taipei,2000,page 89. The tall beaker form appears to be based on earlier Han and Three Kingdoms period jade examples such as the jade beaker illustrated in China-Dawn of a Golden Age,Metropolitan Museum of Art,2004,cat no 14,p 114.
