Compare with a vase in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in Longquan qingci, Beijing, 1966, pl.41. A related vase, also with a reduced neck, gifted by Mrs. Samuel T. Peters to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, is illustrated by Suzanne G. Valenstein, A Handbook of Chinese Ceramics, New York, 1975, p.140, pl.136. Other examples of this form with reduced necks include two in the Topkapi Saray Museum, Istanbul, published by Regina Krahl, Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum, Vol.1, London, 1986, nos.204 and 205.
