Each, 36.7 cm. (14 1/2 in.) high
Compare a related example of a gilt bronze and cloisonné enamel vase of similar form but with a flaring mouth and decorated with flanges dated to the late Ming dynasty in the Qing Court Collection, illustrated in Metal-bodied Enamel Ware. The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, Hong Kong, 2002, p.61, no.59.
The decoration of the lotus blossoms, circular vine scrolls issuing jagged leaves, the stiff downward leaf lappets and classically-coloured enamels are all consistent of the stylistic motifs of the late Ming dynasty; see a related stylistically-similar gilt bronze and cloisonné enamel garlic-mouth vase dated to the late Ming dynasty also in the Qing Court Collection, illustrated op.cit., p.58, no.56.
