Acquired in Hong Kong in the 1980s

The deep bell-shaped body supported on three blade-shaped supports,the bodycast with taotie masks on a leiwen ground,the curved rim is flanked by a pair ofcapped posts,the side cast with a handle over a single indishinct pictogram.Compare with a jue from the collection of Dr. Kiyoshi Hosai,sold at Sotheby’sNew York,17-18th March 2015,lot 151.
The dating of this lot is consistent with technical examination report no.
0717-OA-45N-9 carried out by CIRAM.
