The large jar with a broad tapering shoulder，freely painted on white slip with a large panel depicting an ascending dragon among cloud scroll，the reverse with a pair of phoenix among blossoming peony scroll.
Compare with a jar of this type Cleveland Museum of Art，included in the exhibition Freedom of Clay and Brush through Seven Centuries in Northern China，Tz'uchou Type Wares，Indianapolis Museum of Art，1980，cat. no. 93 and a jar sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong，24/25th November 2010，lot 1010.
