A HUANGHUALI HORSESHOEBACK ARMCHAIR , QUANYI(Qing Dynasty , 18th/19th Century)

The crestrail terminating in outswept scroll ends , the curved splat decorated in relief with a ruyi head all flanked by shaped spandrels and supported on curved stiles and straight backposts , the mat seat set within a rectangular frame above beaded aprons and spandrels carved on the front apron with leafy scroll.
