The jadeite double hoops are not commonly found in the market due to immense wastage and cost incurred during the cutting process. The requirement for the rough carved into a double hoop is high as it has to be evenly coloured and without fractures yet with good translucency. There is an old saying in the jadeite industry, 'Good material will not use poor carving skills'. An exquisite jadeite rough must require exquisite craftsmanship. This fabulous pair of interlocking double hoop was made from very fine emerald green jadeite of superb translucency, also a statement of auspicious 'Double Blessings' and it is surely a heirloom to pass onto the next generations due to its rarity.
