GOLDEN HONEY CAT'S EYE

GRS report numbered GRS2017-033668, dated 23 March 2017, stating the cat’s-eye chrysoberyl is 18.09 carats, natural, yellowish-green (“golden eye” in incandescent light) colour, Sri Lankan origin, no indication of treatment.
Cat's-eye chrysoberyl is mostly sourced from Sri Lanka.However, mostly are irregular and unsymmetrical in shape, which makes gem quality Cat's-eye chrysoberyl jewelry exceptionally rare.
The presence of microscopic needle-like inclusions of rutile or hollow tubes produces a chatoyant effect visible as a single ray of straight light across the surface. Although there are other gemstones able to display chatoyancy, cat's-eye chrysoberyl is the only chatoyant mineral earns its name. The chatoyant band is distinct, straight and silver-white colour, extending from girdle to girdle. The body colour of a gem-quality cat's-eye possess a semi-translucent golden yellow to slightly greenish yellow colour.
