Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory Limited report numbered SJ186276, dated 26 June 2019, stating that the jadeite is natural, Intenese Green colour with white patches, known in the trade as ‘A Jade’, jadeites measuring 29.96 X 7.96 X 7.11mm.
'Bi' is an ancient Chinese artifact. Its earliest appearance could date back to the Neolithic period. Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty possessed an ancient 'Bi' inscribed with texts denoting cultural and religious significance. 'Bi' is often considered as the symbol of heaven, eternity and a great spiritual empowerment for many connoisseurs. The shape of a 'Bi' is simple: a convex or plump disc with a round hole at the center. Lot1163 is a highly translucent jadeite 'Bi' of bright emerald green colour with patches of imbedded deep green 'clouds', the quality of the material is next to none, and with its simple yet regal form, the rare piece is an absolute pleasure to behold.
