Acquired from famous Hong Kong huanghuali collector Zhang Ziling in the 1990s, thence by descent
Zhang Ziling, a native of Beijing and descendant of a prominent family in the antique furniture business, migrated to Hong Kong in the early 1950s and continuing the family business in the bustling Peking Road at Tsim Sha Tsui, is considered one of the oldest and most esteemed antique dealers of his time.
