Born in Shenyang and graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, You Jin is known for his creations, which reflect contemporary reality and personal observations with dazzling structural colors. In 2014, the Alternative Space series enable him to break away from the previous digital creations and present a more dynamic and intertwined hub of time and space, to explore the pulse of the times in post-modern multi-dimensional consciousness and cultural exchanges. Since 2008, You has successively held solo exhibitions in Beijing New Era Gallery, Swiss Opera Gallery, Ring Alternative Space in South Korea, Parkview Art in Hong Kong, and exhibited his works in Singapore, Shanghai, Moscow, Taiwan, Berlin, Florida, and many other places. Compatibility in the Ever-Changing Universe

Gorgeous colors and layers of advancing space constitute the wonderful universe that is rapidly changing in the painting of You. The reality is shattered and reorganized to present complex yet orderly multiple structures, which has become a subtle interpretation of contemporary society. In his painting The Combination of Different Paths completed in 2018, the spiral stairs, doors, windows, and corridors are intertwined with two-dimensional lines on the canvas to form an extended passage in the space. The circular staircase forms the key to the changes in time and space. The window frame extending vertically in the center presents a fixed visual focus. The green plants with dynamic arc-shaped blades turn into a visual shuttle guide, showing the movement of natural wind. The artist even fills in the area between the lines with bright yellow, blue, red, green, and other primary color blocks to strengthen the three-dimensional structure of perspective. At the same time, color also breaks the single-sided perspective, making the space under multiple perspectives seem to be in constant drift, and translating the artist's observation of contemporary society in the division, integration, and re-creation.
