A BRONZE FOOD VESSEL, DING(Western Zhou Dynasty, 10th Century BC)

H. 35.5 cm. D. 32.5 cm.

This deep rounded vessel stood on three thick legs, which widen to support the body. The neck was decorated with taotie mask, which was separated with blades. The legs was embellished with taotie mask whose nose was the blade. The inside of the vessel was casted with four characters.
