A BRONZE DAGGER-AXE WITH FERRULE, GE(Late Spring and Autumn Period, 5th Century BC)

Dagger L. 14.5 cm. Handle L. 7.8 cm. Ferrule L. 8.8 cm.

This dagger-axe was cast in the shape of Tiger hunting eagle, together with the ferrule was in a set, the cross-section of which was in egg shape. The ferrule was cast in the shape of a human figure battling with a tiger and a bear. This dagger-axe set demonstrated the fierce hunting scene of the nobility in late Spring and Autumn Period.
