Compare with a Qianlong ‘lotus’ cup but on an incised ruby-ground sold at Christie's New York, 2nd December 1993, lot 344, and again at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, 8th April 2007, lot 801. Another cup decorated with a composite-flower scroll instead of lotus, in the Nanjing Museum Collection is illustrated in the Exhibition catalogue Qing Imperial Porcelain of the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong Reigns, Nanjing, 1995, cat. no. 94. A Qianlong-marked sgraffiato ruby-ground ‘lotus’ cup of closely related design was sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, 5 October 2016, lot 3760.
