Ian Williams, Koncrete Kandy, Giclée print, ed.50, Price: HK$10,000

Koncrete Kandy is composed of abstract forms of different shapes and colors brought together, the artist wanted to convey a sense of nurturing, protection, and elevation. The work is both a celebration of his love of painting, and a symbolic arrangement of forms. The painting shows some larger forms surrounding smaller forms, which represents those who can help surrounding people less fortunate. People are connected during these challenging times. A red shape resembles the heart, which is used as a sign of love. The heart is the most dominant since it’s surrounded by other larger forms, which symbolizes humanity.

Ian Williams, Solid Geometry, Giclée print, ed.50, Executed in 2020, Price: HK$3,500

Solid Geometry represents Strength while the artist was researching ways of communicating reflection and luminescence found in virtual objects and began playing with darker colours of tonal equivalence to counter the more explosive colours. Light falls on different surfaces to create a tonal variation on surfaces. Regions or colour that receives more light tends to be brighter than the others, which create a feeling of space and perspective on this artwork. In this piece of art, it is evident that the light propagation principle causes reflection on the surface. It is also clear that creating a contrast between colours brings a sense of light.

Ian Williams, Blind Faith, Giclée print,ed.50, Executed in 2020, Price: HK$3,500

Blind Faith tried to bring the overall illusion of space and depth created by a tonal variation on surfaces on the artwork. The artist has incorporated elements such as tone, lines, and contours and void, which are 3-dimensional elements of art and design. The work represents Confidence, and the technique is also an art practice of the artist with an aim to inspire viewers.

Ian Williams, Fool's Gold , Giclée print,ed.50, Executed in 2020, Price: HK$3,500

The work is under the theme of Hope by using a lot of large surface of gold and orange which brings out a moment of prosperity. One outstanding thing about these pieces is the tonal variation effect on the piece, which gives attraction to the viewers.

Ian Williams, Heirlooms, Giclée print,ed.50, Executed in 2020, Price: HK$3,500

In this work, the artist was experimenting with darker, muted colours for objects in the background, contrasting them with brighter and more saturated forms in the foreground. The artist also used dominance by using lighter colours to draw attention to the observer, as they are waiting to open a treasure box with excitement.

Ian Williams, Composition II, Giclée print,ed.50, Executed in 2020, Price: HK$3,500

Composition II consists of basic forms arranged on a stage-like platform, which is then situated within a landscape. It was during this work that his practice shifted from painting videogame landscapes to what would become virtual still life paintings. The composition involves a still-life stage-like platform with abstract forms on a stage. The source of light points to the center of the composition. Atmospheric perspective has been used to create an illusion of depth and space. The movement has been achieved by the arrangement of forms from the stage to the background, leading viewers to a dreamland and chasing dreams with hope and good wishes.
