This is a scene that displays Siddhartha seated on a throne surmounted by the fronds of a tree. Bare chested，with a robe wrapped around his left shoulder. He carries a solemn expression，sitting on the throne crossed legs，with both of his hands placed on the lap，facing upwards in a meditation pose. Surrounded by eight devotees who have their hands joined together in prayer，they listen attentively. Two similar examples are illustrated in Gandharan Art（I）— The Buddha’s Life Story，Tokyo，2003，p. 77 & 128.
