PROVENANCE
Private Collection, Asia

Every artist has his own visual language. The unique language of KAWS is that he could present variety of art languages that connect with American contemporary art. He creates pop images based on Simpsons, Sponge Bobs, and Mickey Mouse. He uses these images to access the public and earned recognition from the audience. His works represents American culture but has nothing related with politics. I believe KAWS is like Marcel Duchamp and Andy Warhol, connects business and art, and breaks the rule of traditional classes.
——Andrea Karnes, curator of Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.A
