NATURAL SALTWATER CONCH PEARL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE


Suspending to the front with two oval conch pearls, the necklace set with diamond-set links and collet-set diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white gold. Length approximately 405mm.

GIA numbered 2191032786, 17 January 2018, stating the conch pearls are 39.41 grams, natural saltwater, Orangy Pink, no indications of treatment, the pearls measuring approximately 12.63 x 9.5 x 8.38 and 10.47 x 9.26 x 7.72mm.

Potential bidders are advised to contact jewellery department before bidding as certain permits maybe required for export.

A conch pearl is a non-nacreous, calcareous concretion produced by the Queen Conch mollusk (Strombus gigas) which lives primarily in the Caribbean. All Conch pearls are natural and it remains one of the rarest pearls in the world. They often exhibit a flame-like pattern and are highly valued for their beautiful color, symmetry and porcelain-like luster.
