The flared cup supported on a stem foot，the straight long handle linked to the cup with an arched support and terminating at the opposing end in a broad， slightly convex grip.
This type of long-handled censer is discussed by Bo Gyllensvard in Tang Gold and Silver，Bulletin of Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities，no. 29，London，1957， pp. 88-89. A related censer in the British Museum Collection was illustrated in Buddhism，Art and Faith，London，1985，cat，no. 293.
