A BRONZE RITUAL TRIPOD FOOD VESSEL AND COVER,DING(Spring and Autumn Period(770-476 BC))

Provenance:
Acquired in Hong Kong in the 1980s

The bulbous vessel is raised on three tapering feet with taotie terminals,the domed cover encircled three reclining mythical beasts,the vessel and cover decorated with wide bands of interlocking dragon scroll.
The dating of this lot is consistent with technical examination report no.
0717-OA-45N-12 carried out by CIRAM.
