Standing on three short hoof-shaped legs, this cooking vessel has a hemispherical body with a round mouth and a pair of side ears decorated with rhombuses on the exterior. The cover resembles a shallow bowl. The openwork in the centre is enclosed by a cylindrical ring, which serves both as a handle as it is and a foot when the cover is placed upside down. Midway between this and the rim is a band of symmetrically arranged cloud semicircles that is punctuated by three equidistant animal-shaped lugs. The same decoration is adopted for the belly above and below a meridian string of lozenges. Chaplets and mould joins are discernible on the base. Patinated in red and green, the vessel reminds the viewer of its ancient dating with its simple and historic form.
