Supported by three triangular conical legs, this wine vessel has a slanting tubular spout and a short pointed tail. Where the spout joins with the mouth are two nail-shaped posts. Above the short belly and flat bottom is the ovalshaped waist that is decorated with three raised bow strings and fitted with a single ear. Jue-vessels with a tubular spout originated from the Erlitou culture of the Xia dynasty.
