The Goddess of Mercy sturdily cast seated in dhyanasanaatop a double lotus pedestal, his right hand loweredand holding the Pearl of Light whilst his left handraised in mudra, the benevolent facial expression withdowncast eyes framed with a five-leaf crown, insetwith a diminutive figure of Buddha Amitabha to thecentral leaf, enclosing the tightly curled hair rising toan elaborate high chignon and jewel, the pendulousearlobes with floral earrings, wearing a patterned shawlaround the shoulders and overflowing dhoti incisedat the hems leaving the chest bare, adorning elaboratebeaded necklaces, bejewelled bangles and armlets.
