The Country Grows in Spring, the Nature Lasts in Painting

Pang, who is well-known in the circle for his gray tone, has exquisite creations on the theme of Guilin Landscape. Spring Arrived in Guilin has a width of 2 meters, on which he uses color and lines to shape the deep point of the combination of form and meaning. With a green color and gray tones, he portrays the foggy mountains and the gorgeous sceneries of Jiangling, enshrining the long-lasting expectation of the beautiful nature and prosperous country.
The work uses a long scroll-like composition to present the detached world and the powerful nature. In the foreground, the green grass and primula willow reveal the lushness of spring with the elegant green tones. The undulations of the branches and leaves create a freehand style. In the middle ground, there is a mountain standing alone on the lands in the river. Hovering hills gradually change in true tones such as grayish-green, grass green, cobalt blue, and brown, conveying poetic abundance from the richness of hues and the multi-dimensional brightness of oil colors. Several houses are in typical Jiangnan style, with white walls and black tiles. Houses and lush bushes seem to tell the freedom of traveling around the world. A light fishing boat leisurely rows by. The four-sail flatboat in the foreground is the end of the line of sight. These fill the majestic spring scene into the true meaning of oriental aesthetics-enjoying nature from paintings.
