36×25×39.5cm (14 1/8×9 7/8×15 1/2 in )
The rectangular cabinet has a pair of doors with book-matched floating panels, and a protruding base with slightly rounded cushion molding. The cabinet is trimmed all along the top and the front edges with long baitong strips and further adorned with strap-hinges in the same metal, and a large, barbed eight-lobed foliate lock-plate, with bail handles at the sides. The interior has three drawers and two trays: one tray is inlaid in mother-of-pearl as a 'double-six' gaming board and, the other, compartmentalized in an irregular configuration for dice and game counters. The interior trays and drawers are wholly constructed in richly figured matching panels of huanghuali, which is extremely unusual and extravagant.
