【Video】China Guardian Hong Kong Autumn Auctions 2019 brings a total of HK$ 617 M / US$ 79 M!

China Guardian Hong Kong Autumn Auctions 2019 concluded on 8 October with 12 sales in 5 categories bringing a total of HK$ 617 million / US$ 79 million. Three world auction records were set. 14 lots achieved over HK$ 10 million / US$ 1.28 million.

Ms. Hu Yanyan, President of China Guardian (HK) Auctions Co., Ltd., says, "Every auction season is unique and this Autumn has been particularly memorable. We have seen extraordinary transactions over the past two days: Yoshitomo Nara's Midnight Vampire and Zhang Daqian's White Cloud Studio both achieved the remarkable price of HK$ 37.15 million / US$ 4.76 million, the latter setting a world auction record for a handscroll by the artist; a 4.58-carat natural fancy purplish pink diamond and diamond ring fetched HK$ 25.39 million / US$ 3.26 million; Liu Ye's Lost Balance sold for HK$ 22 million / US$ 2.82 million and a rare white-glazed seated figure of a lion from the 7th century achieved HK$ 21.43 million / US$ 2.75 million.
