China Guardian Hong Kong Auctions in 2019 Bring HK$989 M / US$ 127 M

It's time to wrap up this exciting year! China Guardian (HK) 2019 auctions brought HK$989 million / US$127 million, the 2nd highest annual total in our history! 20 lots fetched over HK$ 10 million, 14 world auction records were set.

"Thanks to the trust and support of clients and collectors, China Guardian (HK) has seen rapid growth in the past seven years. Sales categories have increased from two to five and in 2017, in celebration of our fifth anniversary in Hong Kong, we brought our auctions and previews to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) for the very first time. The state-of-the-art venue of over 60,000 square feet allowed us to share a greater selection of art and artefacts with the ever-growing collecting community. In 2018, with the great support of clients our Hong Kong auction total broke the HK$ 1 billion mark for the very first time. In 2019 our sales brought HK$ 989 million / US$ 127 million, the second highest annual total in company history, with many great objects and artworks finding new homes. In view of the continuous stable growth of the company, we are delighted to announce that from 2020 onwards, our Spring and Autumn sales in Hong Kong will both take place at the HKCEC.
