The thinner upper shelf is fitted with an accompanying folding gaming board inlaid in silver-wire for weiqi and Chinese chess （xiangqi），with metal straps securing its corners. The interior configuration of the present cabinet is an unusual feature，and the retention of its accompanying folding gaming board，perfectly matching the dimensions of the upper shelf，is remarkable.
