Collection of Chu’s Jiu Ru Yuan, acquired in the 1980s, Hong Kong

The mandarin duck is recumbent, with long-pointed mouth and round eyes. A conch shell is inlaid on the back of the mandarin duck partially missing due to age, the gilding still visible.
